Staffordshire Photographic Clubs Print competition 2018

Staffordshire inter-club PDI competition 2017

The Staffordshire inter-club PDI competition was held on 8th November 2017 and judged by David McGuire. Thirteen clubs took part with 10 entries from each club. Stafford Photographic Society won the competition with 172 points, Newcastle were second with 170 points and Blythe Bridge third with 167 points. Tripartite Competition 2017

This year’s annual Tripartite competition was held on 8th November at Ashbourne. Wendy went along to represent the club. The competition is between ourselves, Blythe Bridge, Ashbourne and Stoke Camera Clubs and it is a combination of prints and PDIs. In the prints Wendy’s Venetian Gondalas scored a 20 as did Les’ Great Crested Grebe feeding chick in the PDIs. Robert Shaw Trophy 2017

This year’s competition was the 49th year of the Robert Shaw Trophy. The competition was between Crewe, Blythe Bridge, Holmes Chapel, Leek and Macclesfield camera clubs. The competition was hosted by Crewe and judged by Bob Dennis APAGB AFIAP BPE4. The competition was close with Macclesfield winning with 205 points, Leek 198, Blythe Bridge 197, Holmes Chapel 192 and Crewe 190. PAGB PDI entry requirement change

Along with some others the PAGB has changed the image size requirements for PDI competitions. This is now 1600 pixels wide by 1200 pixels high. File size is a maximum of 2 mb or 2048 kb. Staffordshire Photographic Clubs Annual PDI competition – 2016

This was the first time the club entered this competition. The competition took place in Cannock and was well attended with approximately 80 people present representing 11 Camera Clubs / Photographic Societies. Each club entered 10 images. Cannock won the competition with a score of 184 points. Blythe Bridge were placed second alongside Stafford Photo Society and Tamworth – all scoring 162 points. MCPF Portfolio

Congratulations go to a number of club members for having their images selected for this year’s Midland Counties Photographic Portfolio 2013. Pride of place must go to Steve Geary with his Highly Commended colour print – Chesil Beach.
